So, what do I want to talk about here? This is easy --- whatever sends me at the time I sit down and call up the page.
Currently I am working on getting a garden ready for the spring. Here I am talking about an acreage of some 200 square feet (that is roughly 19x22 linear feet). I admit it isn't much but it will grow all of the tomatoes I want. The only other things I plant are chives, sage, basil, and rosemary. Everything else comes from the grocers. I will include a picture of the garden a little later when the ground is a little more presentable.
If I had the space and energy for a larger garden I would also plant some sweet corn. Corn loses much of its sweetness within hours of harvest so grocer's corn is only marginal at best. Incidentally, never boil corn -- it takes out most of the goodness. Either bake it with husks or microwave it as we do (again with husks). In our microwave this takes about 5 minutes per ear. You will never go back to boiling.
