Sandwich Favorites (Mullet's Choice)

I like sandwiches of almost any kind but the ones included here are some that one might consider a bit unusual. The "specialty" constituents listed in some of them will be given here eventually. This means that you will have to revisit the site from time to time for such enlightenment as this might provide.
Tomato: One of my favorite sandwiches for a quick and healthful lunch. Needs good ripe fresh tomatoes that have never been refrigerated. [1] Spread MIRACLE WHIP generously over a slice of white BREAD. [2] Cover this with thick slices of TOMATO. [3] Season with a little SALT and lots of freshly ground BLACK PEPPER. [4] The sandwich may be topped with another slice of bread but I usually eat it open face. [5] I also like, and sometimes add, a couple of very thin slices of ONION.
Pre-Boiled Egg: Great for breakfast. [1] Steam or boil eggs leaving the yolks quite soft. Store in refrigerator until needed. [2] Microwave an egg 15-30 seconds on low to take the chill off the yolk. Caution: Only the yolk absorbs microwaves and can quickly become hot enough to explode the egg. [3] Peel and slice the egg and spread slices over a piece of hot freshly buttered toast to make an open face sandwich. [4] Re-toast the sandwich in a toaster-oven to warm the egg whites. [5] Salt and pepper the egg and enjoy.
Bean: Barbara's Baked beans thickly spread over a good sourdough bread or cornmeal white bread, or your choice of bread. Add some slightly-burned WIENERS (yes, wieners need to be burned), sliced BEEF or BBQ if desired.
Pickle and Preserves: [1] Slice of fresh white bread. [2] Coat bread with MIRACLE WHIP, a very thin spread of MUSTARD (e.g., Boar's Head Delicatessen Style or your choice), a thick layer of PEACH PRESERVES, and a topping of HAMBURGER DILL PICKLE slices (Dell Dixi or Better Maid; the pickle is very critical). [3] This makes a great sweet/sour sauce so don't laugh until you try it.
Chili Con Queso: Heavy covering of Mullet's 3-cheese con queso on a club cracker topped with a slice of BREAD-and-BUTTER pickle (Del Dixi or Better Maid).
Marinated Cucumbers: Marinated Burpless cucumbers, sliced, on a good white bread that has been spread with a little Miracle Whip.
Sandwich Spread: As a kid I liked "stuff" (KRAFT SANDWICH SPREAD) on crackers. Still do.
Miscellaneous Sandwiches: CHICKEN or TUNA SALAD or any LEFTOVER MEAT with MIRACLE WHIP, TOMATO, PICKLES, ONIONS, BBQ SAUCE or whatever is handy and fits the mood of the day. Sandwiches are like a blank canvas waiting to be painted.
